Transparency will be shaping everything in our industry for years to come. With this in mind, we are witnessing a form of government, or many governments and international organisations together, that counts public participation and transparency as its cornerstones and uses technology as its guide. The digital revolution is allowing widespread sharing of information, and driven by public opinion, evolution is modernising and influencing our fundamental values of what is right and wrong in a transparent world. The STA conference this year will look deep into this brave new world, and are working to bring together government officials and practitioners from around the world to discuss transparency in multiple jurisdictions as it relates to offshore companies, trusts and the financial services industry.
